Accepts wagers and writes sports book tickets. Offers assistance and education on wagering information when asked. Must show patience with customers who do not wager regularly; take the time to explain how wagering works. Maintains an accurate count of all money and reconcile daily summaries of transactions to balance cash drawer. Must be able to resolve complaints and difficult situations in a calm and patient manner.
Responsible for sharing up to date information on relevant sporting events with guests. Must be committed to working in a compliant environment at all times and adhering to Gaming Control Board reporting requirements, internal controls, company policy/procedures and IRS Bank Secrecy Act (SARC). Must document all bets that reaches CTR and MTL thresholds. Adhere to Uniform Policy and ensures good standard of personal presentation at all times. Anticipate and act on the needs of the customer, seek and respond to feedback. Ensure all issues effecting the customer experience in the sports book are reported promptly.
A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Six months cashier or banking experience preferred. Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license from the state.
